About

McAuley Tucker, the Canadian interviewer who started at 15 and never stopped.

Professional bodyshot of McAuley Tucker

I started at 15. Almost six years in, I have not stopped.

In May 2020, from a bedroom in Ontario, Canada I started cold-emailing entertainment professionals and asking if I could interview them. I was 15 years old. I had no credentials, no connections, and no reason to expect anyone would say yes.

People said yes.

Almost six years later, I have produced more than 50 long-form interviews with professionals from Universal Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures, and Netflix.

I was the last person to conduct a recorded interview with Ron Galella, the world’s most famous celebrity photographer, seven days before he passed away in 2022. That conversation led to a professional relationship with his estate that changed the trajectory of my career.

Today, I serve as Digital Media Director for Ron Galella, Ltd., managing a seven-platform digital presence that generates over 4 million monthly views and more than 400,000 monthly interactions. In this role, I have spearheaded high-profile initiatives including securing coverage in Vogue Italia and brokering digital partnerships with Getty Images, The Andy Warhol Museum, Interview Magazine, and The Grammy Museum, while also expanding the estate’s reach through new fine art representation and special projects.

In 2019, I launched a music project called First World Citizen. It has since generated over 7 million global streams across hip-hop, electronic, and rock. I have collaborated with Grammy-winning artist L.V., the voice of the chorus on Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise,” and secured UK radio airplay for my debut single.

In 2024, I studied journalism at the World Journalism Institute and wrote for WORLD Magazine, covering topics from streaming industry economics to online child safety legislation. I hold journalism certificates from the World Journalism Institute and The Democracy Fund. You can read my published articles.

In late 2025, I founded METT & Co., a boutique representation firm for estates of deceased creatives, established living artists, and cultural institutions.

What I believe.

I am a follower of Christ, and my faith is the foundation for how I treat people, make decisions, and conduct business. That means I work with integrity, I don’t cut corners, and I care about the people behind the project, not just the project itself.

I believe that the people who changed culture deserve to be remembered, not as Wikipedia footnotes, but as living legacies that continue to inspire. That’s why I don’t do surface-level coverage. I spend hours researching, I ask about the work that didn’t make the highlight reel, and I treat every conversation like it belongs in an archive.

I believe every person has a story worth hearing, and that the best work comes from sitting with someone, listening deeply, and honoring what you find. I don’t ambush. I don’t fish for soundbites. I make people look good, because that’s what legacy work requires.
